Christians worship in many different ways, but always for the same purpose: To give glory and praise to God. As created beings, we humans have a need to worship our Creator, to give thanks, and to pray for ourselves, our neighbors and communities, and the world. We hope you will join us on Sunday mornings!
As an Episcopal congregation, we worship in accordance with the Book of Common Prayer. We gather to hear God’s holy word, to sing hymns accompanied by the organ, to pray for ourselves and others, to confess our sins and seek God’s forgiveness, and to receive Christ’s Body and Blood in bread and wine. At St. Alban’s, we do not all think the same way and can disagree on many issues, but we are all united in coming together to worship God.
